Tis the season for giving! Gibson90210 will be giving a prize away each weekday in the month of December up to 12-22-11. Tell your friends…the more Twitter Followers we get, the bigger the prize. If you live in the continental US…start checking in each day -starting this Thursday- for a chance to win.
I’m sure your band already has an awesome @gibsonguitar player, so now you can start thinking about other sounds…here’s my vote.
I was reminded by an LA Times article that one of my favorite times of the year is fast approaching…Sunset Strip Music Festival! …This year honoring Motley Crue….woot!
Here are just a few things that I love about this festival:
*I will get to walk up and down the middle of Sunset Strip without fear of being hit by cars (as normally people get pretty miffed and honk a lot).
*I don’t have to only be inside a club to hear music, I can also be outside too…getting my needed vitamin D.
*I can get my picture taken by all of the 10ft GuitarTown Guitars. I’m thinking—this year’s Holiday Cards.
*I have an excuse to eat from several yummy lunch trucks.
*If I have some downtime, I can try on shoes at the Hustler store.
*People can visit me and play guitars at the Gibson booth….I love making new friends!

I am back and fully recovered from my weekend at Rock on the Range Festival in Columbus Ohio. (You may notice it took me 4 days to “fully recover”…). The bands were great and of course I enjoyed watching them, but the most outstanding thing from the entire festival was the crowd. Masses of sun-soaked,lobster-red, sweaty, happily buzzed rock fans having an awesome time. I’ve never seen so much crowd surfing before in my life. Big, small, dudes, chics, a guy in a wheelchair all crowd surfing with no trouble. The security was catching people all day long with grace. This is how raucous should be!
Here is a taste of the fun. Inspiration for the crowd provided by Zakk Wylde and Black Label Society
